A Subject ( ಕರ್ತೃ)
Subject is a word in a sentence which performs an action is called as subject.
It means that a word which acts in a sentence. it is the subject.
Example - Ramesh writes a letter.
In this sentence the action is write and this action is performed by Ramesh.
So here Ramesh is the subject.
An Object ( ಕರ್ಮ)
Object is the word on which subject performs an action.
The subject does action upon which word that word is called an object.
Example
Ramesh writes a letter.
In this sentence Ramesh performing a writing action on a letter so the letter is an object.
A Verb (ಕ್ರಿಯಾಪದ)
Verb is the action word in a sentence.
The word which shows the action in a sentence is called as Verb.
Example :
Ramesh writes a letter.
In the sentence the action is right so the verb in this sentence is writes.
Simple methods to identify subject, object and verb in the sentence.
How to identify the subject?
Ex. - A man paints a car.
To identify the subject we can ask a question to verb by using who.
Ex.- Who paints a car?
We get an answer ' a man'
So a man is the object in this sentence.
How to identify an object in the sentence?
To identify the object in a sentence we should ask a question to verb by using what.
Ex. She makes a drawing.
What she makes?
- A drawing.
Here we get the answer a drawing so a drawing is the object in this sentence.
